What is an EIN Letter and why do I need it?

During the onboarding process, we have to get your school approved to send communications.

Spam is a problem with phones, email and even text! The FCC has tightened up regulations and communications providers have to show proof they have vetted out organizations and confirmed they are not spammers.

Your Employer Identification Number (or EIN) is typically what is used to verify your identity. Your EIN is filed with the name of your organization. It's important that when providing your EIN and name, the two match what will be on file when the lookup is done. If things don't match up, requests can be rejected. Of course, it causes delays and additional headaches, so it's just best to submit the best data in the beginning.

Many people are not familiar with the term "EIN Letter" but they always recognize it when they see it. Take a look at the example below.

Using the name listed on this letter is a safe bet you'll get approved the first time. Sure there are exceptions, but we'll work on your behalf to get you through the process. Check with your office staff if you are not sure of the way your organization is listed with your EIN. They can likely help!
