Synchronize your Student Information System

In order to send messages to your community, you will need to connect your SIS data to SchoolNow.

SchoolNow will work with you to synchronize your schools data to our message system. Typically, you will go through a reliable OneRoster (OR) provider. SchoolNow has partnered with GG4L (Global Grid for Learning) to handle these data transformations. 

Because each school handles their parent and student contact data differently, there is no single solution that works for all. The most common SIS systems include PowerSchool, Skyward, and Infinite Campus, however we realize there are many systems, each able to export/share their data differently. Most systems have their own default format and sometimes, a few extra options that allow you to share your data more specifically.

SchoolNow and GG4L work together to get your data over in the best way. You will first work with GG4L to share only the relevant data. GG4L will normalize your data into a format that SchoolNow can consume to power your message center. There is often a little back and forth between our teams in order to get your data into the format you expect to see in your message center. We'll guide you every step of the way.
