In this article, we’ll learn about message templates and how they work to improve efficiency in your daily messaging.
You can create three types of message templates; General, Urgent and Auto Notice. Let’s describe each.
General Template
If you do daily announcements, or principal updates, you could create a General template that has pre-defined text and images that can be quickly modified and sent.
Urgent Template
Set up urgent templates for communications such as inclement weather, school lockdowns or closings and other messaging that needs to quickly go out.
In both General and Urgent message templates, you can pre-select the channels that message should go out to including Voice, SMS, a Push notification to the app, a website alert and even your pre-authorized social networks. Quickly select your recipients, review the message, and send knowing it will go out to all the proper channels.
Auto Notice Template
These templates are set up and for use with automated notifications such as attendance, school fees, lunch balances, etc. Merge fields can be used to customize the message for each recipient. The merge tags available are based on the data sent to from the SIS and vary for each customer.
