If for some reason you want to limit the modules for a department maybe to make it a dedicated news department or something similar you can do it if you have the proper permissions. To do so, go to the department that you want to limit the available modules in, click on the Gear icon to the right of the department’s name located at the top left-hand side of the window. A drop-down window will appear, select Edit Department and click on Active Modules in the horizontal navigation. By default, all of the modules will be active (green) which we recommend, click on the modules you do not want to be available in the department, and finally, Save.
After saving, you will be taken back to the Department View of the department, where you will be able to see the changes that you made in the horizontal Module list.
Note - While you can turn off any of the modules in a department, we recommend keeping the Page module activated especially if the department contains any pages. This is because if the Page module is deactivated, any pages inside the department will not be editable even if they are showing in the dashboard. If the pencil icon (edit) to the right of the page is clicked on you will receive a 500 error.
