Assets, formally known as Modules, is a powerful tool in SchoolStatus. Most will find that they will be using the Page asset to create pages and there are items that need to be checked for those, you can find links below on some of those items. There are several of the assets that can be used such as Blogs, News, and Galleries that take extra care to make them ADA compliant which are reviewed below too.
Asset Specific ADA Compliance
The first step in making your entries in the different assets is to look at the images that are used for thumbnails and in image galleries. Extra care needs to be taken when using these assets to make sure that they are ADA compliant. How do I start making my blog posts ADA compliant?
To start making your Blog Posts ADA compliant the image that is associated with the post needs to have Alt text entered. To insert Alt text for an image click on the pencil icon to the right of the post's title that you want to edit, enter a short description of the image into the Alt Text field and finally Save --> Publish Content.

To start making your Image Galleries ADA compliant each image that is in the Gallery needs to have Alt text entered. To insert Alt text for an image click on the pencil icon under the photo that you want to edit, select Edit Details and enter a short description of the image into the Alt Text field followed by Update and finally Save --> Publish Content.
